Chelsea to be best of British
With the Champions League returning in midweek, William Hill have turned their attention to which British team will go furthest.
They make Chelsea, who look to have come out best in the draw in being paired with Fenerbahce, the 15-8 favourites, followed by 9-4 Manchester Utd, who face Roma, 3-1 Arsenal, 7-2 Liverpool.
That book is reflected in a similar market with Hills - who will qualify for the semi-final? They bet: 1-6 Chelsea, 4-11 Man Utd, 8-11 Arsenal, evens Liverpool.
On the home front, Hills have Manchester United at 1-5 to take the Barclays Premier League title, with Chelsea 4-1 and Arsenal 10-1.
Liverpool, though out of the running for the title, at least have one foot in next year’s Champions League via a fourth-placed finish.
They are 1-8 to finish higher than Everton after beating their Merseyside rivals 1-0 on Sunday.
