Saints can edge out Rhinos

St Helens can make the most of a four-point start on Bet365’s handicap market at 10-11 when Leeds Rhinos visit Knowsley Road on Friday evening in engage Super League.

This is the first meeting of the sides since the Rhinos powered to a 33-6 win in the Grand Final at Old Trafford five months ago and promises to be a cracking match.

Leeds have barely looked back since that triumph, winning seven of their first eight League games and lifting the World Club Challenge, while Saints have struggled to find any real consistency.

However, Saints seemed back in business when they beat Wigan Warriors 46-10 on Good Friday, only to falter again in a 28-26 defeat by the Huddersfield Giants.

Saints have international prop Jason Cayless available again, while Leeds are without four players from their victorious Old Trafford line-up.

However, there is no doubting the Rhinos’ form. They have run up 122 points in their past three matches and conceded just one try in the process, latterly polishing off Hull 30-4.

That said, this is a massive game for Saints, who simply cannot afford defeat given the points they have already dropped this term. They can rise to the occasion and make the most of that four-point start.

On the win market, Leeds are best at 8-11 with Skybet, with Saints 11-8 with Betfred.
