United to down Liverpool

Manchester United, three points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League, can consolidate their position by beating visitors Liverpool on Sunday. VC Bet and Bet365 quote evens, and that is worth taking.

United have won their past four league matches since losing at home to Manchester City and already have a league win over Liverpool - 1-0 at Anfield in December - to their name.

Such is the depth of talent at their disposal, Sir Alex Ferguson has been able to rotate his squad in recent wins over strugglers Derby and Bolton, but he will have his first choice team on duty here.

Liverpool come here in good heart after winning their past five league games, but although they have been impressive in brushing aside lesser opposition, this is different altogether.

Indeed, Liverpool have failed to beat any of the top three sides in four games this season, notching up three draws and a loss (to Manchester United).

Although Torres and Gerrard are in outstanding form, the suspicion lingers that Liverpool are too reliant on them, and Ferguson will surely have a plan to neutralise them.

Liverpool can be had at 100-30 with Skybet, with the draw 23-10 with Bet365.
