Blue Jack is no soft touch
Blue Jack (2.40 Folkestone) should relish any cut in the ground and rates fair value to make a winning reappearance at 4-1 with Coral and William Hill.
The going was good to soft when he made a winning debut at Nottingham last season, which was all the more encouraging as he hails from a stable not noted for having its juveniles too wound up on their first starts. He may well have been less well suited by the surface when running just respectably in two subsequent starts on the all-weather and, now that he returns to a softer turf surface, he could easily outclass this field.
On the betting exchanges, Teasing (8.50 Kempton Park) looks one to oppose. She was staying on strongly at the finish when runner-up over seven furlongs here last time, but is far from certain to appreciate this step up in trip as she has failed to make the frame in three previous starts at a mile. With all four of her rivals holding realistic claims, Teasing should be laid for a place at around 1.6.
