Chelsea 11-4 for one-goal win

Chelsea can keep the pressure on Manchester United in the race for the Barclays Premier League, but at a general 1-4 to beat  visitors Wigan on Monday evening there is little value in the overall maket.

However, Boylesports offer backers an interesting proposition with their quote of 11-4 for Chelsea to win by just one goal.

The Blues have been winning consistently, but have not always been scoring freely. They did bag six against Derby, but that is not much of a recommendation these days, and they failed to finish the job in a 4-4 draw at Spurs.

More recently, they squeezed past Middlesbrough 1-0 and were made to wait in a 2-0 over Fenerbahce in the Champions last week.

Steve Bruce has got Wigan organised at the back, and while they are still far from watertight at least they have cut out many of the alarming errors that dogged them earlier in the season.

They have a couple of decent results to encourage them — a goalless home draw against Arsenal and a 1-1 draw against at Anfield — and they could well make this tougher for the home side than the odds suggest.
