Lewis to come good at 11-10

Adrian Lewis should be backed at the 11-10 offered by Sporting Bet to beat Wayne Mardle in the Whyte & Mackay Premier League on Thursday evening and so extend his hopes of taking the one remaining play-off spot.

The match is the third on the evening at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, with all the action live on Sky.

Phil Taylor, James Wade and Raymond van Barneveld have already secured their places in the semi-finals going into the evening’s concluding round of league matches, but the final berth remains up for grabs, with Peter Manley, Lewis and Mardle all retaining a chance of making the semis in Cardiff on May 26.

Lewis will qualify if he beats Mardle and Manley fails to beat Taylor in the evening’s concluding match. And, although he has struggled for consistency in the league, he will fancy his chances of completing his part of the bargain against a player who has averaged only 85 in each of the past two weeks. Lewis beat Mardle 8-6 in Week Four.
