Liverpool to spike Gunners
Liverpool are worth backing at 11-8 with Bet365 to beat visitors Arsenal in their second leg of their Champions League quarter-final at Anfield on Tuesday evening. The match will be shown live on ITV1.
The two sides have already fought out two 1-1 draws in the past week, in the first leg of this tie then in the Premier League, and it is Liverpool’s away goal at the Emirates which gives them such an advantage in this tie.
The onus is on Arsenal to make the running, and that will suit Liverpool down to the ground. They have shown so often in Europe how adept they are denying the opposition room to operate, but Arsenal’s need for that away goal could force them to take chances as the game progresses.
With Fernando Torres, rested at the weekend, just the man to make the most of any space in the Arsenal back line, the Gunners will face a tricky balancing act.
Arsenal give the impression that a tough season is catching up with them, and the influential Cesc Fabregas has too often dipped below his brilliant early-season form in recent weeks.
Lack of goal power has also been a problem, with Emmanuel Adebayor shouldering much of the burden in the long-term absence of Eduardo and the persistent injury problems of Robin van Persie, although the latter is back in contention for a starting place.
In an intriguing match, Liverpool get the vote.
Arsenal are best at 12-5 with VC Bet, and they are also best about the draw at 41-20.
