Points set favourably for United

Punters who missed the boat as regards backing Manchester United to retain the Premier League title have been offered a late opportunity to jump aboard the Old Trafford bandwagon by William Hill. The bookmakers have opened a book on how many points Sir Alex Ferguson’s side will win the league by, and look to have made a rick in offering 3-1 that United prevail by four or more points.

United presently lead Chelsea by three points and that gap would grow to six should the Red Devils end Chelsea’s challenge with a victory in the big head-to-head at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Moreover, with games against West Ham United and Wigan Athletic to follow, even a draw against Chelsea would leave Manchester United in a strong position to extend their lead over the final two games, with the Blues facing a tricky tie away to a reviving Newcastle side before closing their campaign at home to Bolton.

William Hill bet: How many points will United win the Premiership by? 11-10 One to Three, 3-1 Goal Difference, 3-1 Four or more, 9-2 Fail to win Premiership.
