Reading to make point at Arsenal

Reading can add to Arsenal’s end-of-season woes, and assist their own push for Premier League survival, by grabbing a draw at the Emirates in Saturday’s early match. VC Bet offer 41-10 and that is a fair price.

Arsenal’s fall from grace has been well documented and the difficulty for backers prepared to take the 4-11 with Paddy Power is quite how they react with their season effectively over, at least as far as silverware is concerned.

It is possible that, with the pressure which weighed so heavily on them now lifted, they could revert to the free-flowing, goal-scoring form of the earlier part of the season.

The fact remains, though, that they have taken a series of massive body blows to their pride and still have a monumental injury list.

In any other circumstance, Reading should be easy meat, especially after last week’s 2-0 home defeat by fellow strugglers Fulham. However, the Royals have decent record when visiting the top sides this season, including a goalless draw at Manchester United and defeats by the odd goal at Chelsea and Liverpool.

Although they are on a lean streak up front - they have not scored for three games - they do at least have some firepower in Kevin Doyle and Dave Kitson.

That said, the key to the match is Arsenal’s state of mind, but the Gunners are just too short to bank on.

Reading are 10-1 with Blue Square to pull off an unlikely victory.
