Celtic to win on goal difference
Celtic can clinch the Scottish Premier League title on goal difference — quoted by William Hill at 8-13 - when the division stages its final games on Thursday evening.
Rangers and Celtic go into the last match on equal points, but Celtic have a four-goal superiority which it is extremely difficult to see Rangers overturning.
Gers travel to Aberdeen for the concluding fixture, while Celtic are at Dundee United.
The appeal of goal difference being the deciding factor is that both sides are strong favourites for victory - Rangers are best at 8-15 with Coral and Celtic 2-5 with Skybet - and neither side can afford to let up lest it hand any advantage to their rivals.
Hills offer 6-5 that the league will be decided on points, and that eventuality is more likely to happen from the Rangers standpoint. Celtic should win their match, but Rangers have had a long, gruelling season and finish, in the league at least, against an Aberdeen side who have lost only four games at home this season.
However, with so much to play for, Rangers can find enough for victory, even if ultimately they fall short in the championship.
