Deep Winter looks hot stuff
She may be inappropriately named given the hot weather, but Deep Winter (3.50 Redcar) looks a decent bet at the 4-1 offered by Coral this morning.
This well-bred filly shaped with bags of promise on her debut at Pontefract, given plenty to do and looking green when first asked to go forward before staying on strongly once the penny dropped. She will be much sharper with that experience under her belt and can outclass a modest field.
At Yarmouth, Fongs Gazelle (5.00) should benefit from an easy lead and will be hard to pass. Murfreesboro has been withdrawn this morning, leaving just three rivals for Fongs Gazelle, and they all prefer to be held up for a late run. That should set things up for Fongs Gazelle to make all the running and she rates fair value at 9-4 with Betfred.

As Duncan Bannatyne would say "i'm oot!"
