Etain looks just the ticket
Overnight rain has eased the ground at Newbury and that will suit Etain (5.05), who looks too big at the 16-1 offered by Betfred.
Unraced as a juvenile, this lightly raced filly scored her only success in five starts last season on a soft surface at Windsor - her only attempt with cut in the ground - and she remains well weighted off just a 2lb higher mark. In need of the run on her reappearance, she should strip fitter now and can see off main dangers Cruise Director and Damascus Gold, with the latter also making some each-way appeal at a crazy 66-1 with VC Bet.
A shorter price but still good value is Kings Head (7.05 Aintree), available at a bigger than expected 5-2 with William Hill. This classy performer on the Flat bounced back to form when winning with a ton in hand at Huntingdon last week and it will be a shock if he cannot defy a 7lb penalty.

Another pile of doo doos eh Rob?
