Rovers at 11-10 to rule at home
Doncaster Rovers can book their ticket to Wembley and land odds of 11-10 with Ladbrokes by beating Southend United in the second leg of their Coca-Cola League One play-off semi-final at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday evening.
Only fellow play-off contenders Carlisle United and Leeds United won more times at home in the regular season than Rovers and they can be seen to have achieved the difficult part of the bargain in forcing a goalless stalemate at Roots Hall last Friday.
Having just missed out on winning automatic promotion, they showed the right attitude in a battling encounter of few chances, coming closest to breaking the deadlock when Lewis Price was denied by home goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan.
Doncaster manager Sean O’Driscoll will be without Paul Heffernan after his late red card for a headbutt on Charlie Mulgrew but player of the year Richie Wellens has had extensive treatment after sitting out at Roots Hall with a hernia problem and could figure.
Southend striker Lee Barnard, who has scored nine goals since joining the Shrimpers in January, is an injury doubt with an ankle problem.
VC Bet offer a top-priced 14-5 about Southend. The draw can be found at 12-5 with VC Bet and Coral.
