Rubenstar ready to shine

With my nap, Marrymadcap (3.40 Chepstow) having been already heavily supported this morning, the pick of today's prices now looks to be Rubenstar (4.40 Chepstow), who is available at a general 8-1.

He dropped in the weights when failing to win last season, despite showing useful form on several occasions, and shaped well on his first start since switching to the David Murray Smith stable when a fair fourth at Musselburgh.  He got tired in the closing stages there having raced too keenly early on and, well drawn and likely to be suited by this drop to seven furlongs, can finally take advantage of a declining mark.

At Catterick, Hiccups (7.05) should go close.  He should be fully fit now after looking just in need of the run on his first two outings this campaign and will be well suited by the way this race is run as there are several front-runners in opposition.  Hiccups has a good record at this track and rates fair value at 4-1 with William Hill.
