Touchdown an each-way steal at 9-2
Touchdown (2.35 Thirsk), who threw away certain victory when hanging left at Folkestone last time, should be much more comfortable now that he is switched to a left-handed track and will be tough to keep out of the frame in a race where few can be fancied.
A literal reading of the formbook makes the odds-on favourite, Warringah, hard to beat. However, he was surely flattered when runner-up to subsequent Dante winner Tartan Bearer in a slowly run race at Leicester last time - those that finished behind him were modest - and, while he is open to improvement at this trip, he is far from unbeatable. The form of Touchdown's Folkestone run is working out well enough and, considering that he was three lengths clear before hanging last time, he is well worth another chance. The 9-2 offered by Sportingbet is a solid each-way bet.
This evening at Doncaster, Solar Spirit (8.20) can see off market rival Throne Of Power. Runner-up to the useful Collection on his debut at Newcastle, Solar Spirit went one better in impressive fashion at Pontefract on his reappearance and looks to have been let in lightly on his handicap debut. The 4-1 offered by Ladbrokes looks big.

What a cracking tip ! I didnt think there was a hope in hell of Warringah being beaten based on form!
