Chambers for reality role?

The bookmakers reckon Dwain Chambers could be heading for reality television after his ban from competing at the Beijing Olympics.

William Hill quote him at only 3-1 to Appear in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, while he is 5-1 to take a turn in Strictly Come Dancing. I’m A Celebrity has been a haven for controversial figures over the years and, if he is turn up on our television screens, that is his more likely destination.

The decision not to allow Chambers to run in the Olympics came as a surprise to Hills, who had seen money for him to compete.

In his absence, the firm go 2-7 that no team Great Britain  100m runner will make it to the final heat in Beijing and now rate the 4 x 100m relay team at 6-5 to win any medal at the games.

Ladbrokes make  Chambers 1-2 to go to next year’s World Championships.  Nick Weinberg, the firm’s spokesman, said: “We don’t think that this is the end for Chambers and expect to see him in Berlin next year. But team GB’s Olympic 100 metres medal prospects have undoubtedly diminished.”
