City worth opposing in Denmark
Manchester City should be taken on at a best-priced 5-6 with Betfred for the second leg of their UEFA Cup with Midtjylland in Denmark on Thursday.
City must overturn a 1-0 deficit from an embarrassing home defeat in the first leg, but given how well the Danish side played in Manchester there is better value to be had in a general 13-5 about the draw.
Although Daniel Sturridge and Martin Petrov hit the woodwork for City, there was no disguising that City were poor, and a Danny Olsen strike in the first half was no more than justice for the visitors.
City’s two Premier League results since have been a mixed bag, with a comprehensive defeat at Aston Villa matched by an equally emphatic home win over West Ham last weekend.
City are under substantial pressure to get a result, and despite an impressive roster of players are not the most consistent of outfits.
They should win, but at odds-on are just too short for comfort.
Midtjylland are best at 19-5 with William Hill to add a second win in the tie.
