Wigan to tame Rhinos on handicap
A mercurial Wigan side are worth an interest at evens on Bet365’s handicap market receiving six points from visitors Leeds Rhinos in engage Super League on Friday evening.
The Warriors’ results have swung wildly in recent weeks, from the depths of a 34-4 home defeat by Huddersfield to a crushing 66-6 victory over Hull a week later.
They are buoyed by the return of Trent Barrett for the final home match of the regular season, and the Warriors also have the incentive of needing at least one win from their final two fixtures to secure a home tie in the play-offs.
On the minus side, they are without their goal-kicking winger, Pat Richards, who has a virus. Fellow Australian Cameron Phelps will assume the goal-kicking duties as the Warriors look to repeat their win over the defending champions seven weeks ago.
The Rhinos are already safe in a top-two spot and could yet take first place if St Helens slip up in their final two games.
Leeds were in cracking form in the first half of the season but have been less convincing in the second part, losing the lead in the league to St Helens.
They have won their past two matches, both at home, to get their back on the rails, but they will have their work cut out if Warriors put their best foot forward.
Bet365 also have the Rhinos at evens in the handicap market, while in the overall betting Rhinos are best at 4-7 with Skybet and the Warriors 13-8 with Boylesports.
