Nadal can book final ticket
Rafael Nadal should again prove too strong for Andy Murray when they meet in the semi-finals of the US Open.
Nadal has won all five on his previous encounters with Murray and, despite struggling to recapture his very best form in this tournament, should extend that sequence.
Since the final of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami in April, Nadal has won 53 of the 55 matches that he has contested.
That speaks volumes of the world No 1’s will to win, which was again evident in his quarter-final win over Mardy Fish. After losing the first set, he lost only seven games in the next three.
Murray seems to be getting better all the time but he took four hours to overcome Juan Martin Del Potro in his quarter-final last night and that may take its toll. The young Scot had a similarly tough match before playing Nadal at Wimbledon this year and lost 6-3 6-2 6-4.
Nadal is 1-4 to win, but more attractive is the 11-4 that totesport offer against him triumphing 3-1. Skybet’s 13-10 against him winning in straight sets could be worth a saver.

I hope that this petulant scruffy upstart gets the thrashing of his life....break his heart (and his legs) Rafael....we all hope so in our house....come back Tim...all is forgiven!
