Bere Davis one for maximum faith
The withdrawal this morning of Arthur's Edge has added considerably to confidence in my nap, Bere Davis (8.40 Chepstow), and he rates an excellent bet at the 7-2 offered by Coral, Ladbrokes, and totesport this morning.
Arthur's Edge did not hold much chance of winning the race, but he would have provided early competition for the lead. In his absence, Bere Davis looks assured of an easy time out in front through the first couple of furlongs and, if that is the case, he should be tough to pass. The form of his recent fourth of 14 in a much stronger race at Thirsk is working out well, while he was beaten just a short head on his only previous run here, so clearly has no problems with this most undulating of tracks. The chance of any thunder storms is receding, so he should get the fast ground that suits him best and. with ticks in all the boxes, he rates a maximum bet.

Only half a length - better luck next time. Maximum bets and confidence are appreciated.
