Barcelona v Manchester United, live commentary from 1945BST
What's that - Liverpool and Chelsea drew their Champions League semi-final, first leg last night? Never. Well, who would have predicted that? Apart from everybody. Ok, so the manner of the result was unexpected, with John Arne Riise providing the most amazing sub's performance since HMS Conqueror sunk the General Belgrano. Nevertheless, only a Far East craps player would have wagered on either side taking a major advantage into the second game at Stamford Bridge.
Tonight's match, between Barcelona and Manchester United, is far tougher to call.
Most pundits reckon Sir Alex Ferguson's side are a shoe-in for the Moscow final but can you really write off a team with the talents of Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o at their disposal? Henry, the former Arsenal striker, is a doubt due to a fever but there's still plenty of firepower to give Wes Brown sleepless nights.
Martin Samuel has further fanned the flames this morning by asking whether United are a one-man team. Take Cristiano Ronaldo out of the equation and what have they got left? Fernando Torres, Liverpool's diplomatic editor, said: "He is so far ahead of every player in the world right now. He carries United on his back in some matches: if Barcelona keep the ball away from him, they will get to the final."
So let us be the ones to tell you whether Barca have heeded that advice with our rolling report. From 7.45pm we will bring you all the nailbiting action.
