New Zealand 118-4 (McCullum 10, Flynn 3)
Flynn doesn't have a blinkin' clue what to do against Panesar. He's trying to defend towards extra cover, and keeps nipping it up and across. He's fortunate to emerge unscathed. Incidentally, I've been trawling my memory banks, and the Vaughan century I'm fondest of is his knock at Old Trafford 2005 - but once more, that's not because it was a spectacular display or particularly significant, but because of the rose-tinted glow of nostalgia. Having said that, that ton against Australia contributed towards a sight I've never seen before - the tourists celebrating a draw as if it were a series victory.
