A break in play, no pun intended, as McCullum takes one from Broad right on the forearm as he steps up the track and meets only a short ball.  He has no armguard, and Michael Holding castigates him roundly for being foolish enough not to take advantage of the protection on offer. After a five-minute delay, McCullum concludes that he can't play on, retiring hurt on 11, and Jacob Oram comes to the crease in his stead.
