Sporting smugshots
OK, we've relented. Despite the ongoing success of our footballing smugshots we'd always insisted that the pictures feature only exponents of the beautiful game. But having seen this fabulous photo of Muhammad Ali on fighting form in 1982 we'd like to extend that invitation to pics of our readers with anyone famous from the world of sport.
So if you've had dinner with Daley Thompson, a pint with Kevin Pietersen or seen eye-to-eye with Eric Bristow, then we want to see the evidence.
E-mail your pictures to: sport@timesonline.co.uk

Here we have Hollie Bostock, sporting a rather fetching pink number, with England World Cup-winner Jonny Wilkinson. Now we are reliably informed that this is as close as Hollie could get Jonny to the church you can see in the background...
Hollie's back again, this time with Lawrence Dallaglio.
A big thanks to Steven Clark for this beauty. Now either Steve either bumped into Rafa Benitez, after the Spaniard had been experimenting with latest weight-lifting 'proteins' or he came across WWF Legend The Undertaker...Steve said: "He was a thoroughly nice chap and just to put in to context how intimidating and scary he is I'm 6ft 3in and not exactly a wee lad. He was just massive!"
John Chua, left, and Alex Agboola get a whiff of a banana-camoflaged David Haye on London's Regent Street. Is that the longest bus in the world behind them?
Younus Chughtai gets some batting tips from his hero Owais Shah whilst having a net at the Lords Indoor School. Let's hope how to play in thick fog was one of them.
Frank Kenton does the impossible and raises a smile from the normally taciturn Nick Faldo. Faldo's caddy Fanny, Frank's wife Hana and daughter Aishah join in the giggles in Singapore.
Sam Watts can't believe his eyes, he's only getting the thumbs-up from the baddest man on the planet when Mike Tyson visited the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester.
Rebecca Power from Coventry sent in this little beauty: "I met Will Greenwood outside Cardiff Arms Park after Munster beat Toulouse in the HEC this year. As you can tell from the picture I was very drunk and I wish that I could remember our conversation. It was a perfect end to one of the best days of my life." Where there's a Will ...
There is nothing more to be said, after receiving this image and description: "Please find attached a photo of a certain Colin Charvis, formerly of Newport Dagons, Wales and the British & Irish Lions. He came on tour with the Cobham All Stars team (from Surrey) to a vets tournament in Prague held in May this year. Not only did he struggle with the pace of the game, he was a surprising light weight in the post match drinking activities. Here, he is flanked by me on the left and Ian 'Jonners' Johnson on the right. Doddie Weir also played for us, but was a little camera shy. Regards Pete 'Crime' Bartlett." Thanks very much, Crime.
Trevor Brennan, the former Toulouse lock, makes sure Alex Kaiser doesn't run away with the Heineken Cup. You'd have to be one brave man to try and take that off of Trev.
Darren Hawkins gets a wonderful view of Andrew Flintoff's shoulder while the England all rounder was preparing for the Kandy Test in Sri Lanka December 2003.
... oh, and here's Michael Vaughan's chin, thinks Darren.
Here's a lovely one sent in by Marcus Osborne, who says: "Adam Osborne, who plays for the Royal Selangor Club Under-9's in Kuala Lumpur, found time to pose for a picture with Mike Catt after giving him a few tips on how to tackle. Note Brian Moore's attractive elbow in the background!"
Well done to Jake Moeller who manages to get into the same shot as Mike Gatting at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Must have been a wide-angle lens.
Rahul Dravid, third from left, seems remarkably relaxed despite having a head growing out of his shoulder. I'll let Jagadish, the sender of this phot, explain: "I can be seen (sticking my head into the snap) between Martin Crowe (extreme left) and Rahul Dravid (3rd from left). The photo was taken at a restaurant we (a group of friends) had gone to. This was a day before the IPL started. Meeting us didn't exactly do good things for their side. They were first smashed all around the park by McCullum and then failed to make any sort of impact in the tournament."
Marius Roodt was on a night out in in a Johannesburg nightclub when he met Jaque Fourie shortly after the Springbok won the World Cup in France last year. Roodt admits to being "pretty drunk", though we're more concerned that he took this opportunity to promote possibly the dullest car on the road.
This picture is par for the course as far as smugshots go: Brian Lara meets Guy Locke and his chums on a golf course in Jamaica during England's last Test series in 2004. Guy says: "He was playing with Beefy and Viv and they wanted to play through us (obviously much better golfers than us hackers). We said OK if they had their picture taken with us. Beefy and Viv refused but Brian was a true gent."
Phil Tufnell looks like the cat that got the cream. Gina Laulund looks like the cream that got The Cat.
Students Andy, David and Rich gang up on poor, little, defenceless Amir Khan on a night out in Leeds.
David McDonald and Adam Fincham encounter Ricky Hatton in Tenerife maintaining a vigorous fitness regime - of one of the Happy Mondays, that is. "It was 4.30 in the afternoon and he was hammered," says Adam. We'd never have guessed.
Olly Dick miraculously emerges unscathed after getting into a grapple with Brian Moore, fresh from auditioning for a remake of 'The Wanderers', outside Bath rugby club.
Olly also found Dewi Morris in good humour after Bath "smashed" Saracens back in May 2008.
Hannah Theobald and her friend, Jennie Pott, after a few rum and cokes with some of the England lads - Kevin Pietersen, Michael Vaughan, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Strauss and Paul Nixon - taken in St Lucia during the cricket World Cup last year. However, England's atrocious performance on the field rather pales into insignificance compared to the fashion crime perpertrated by KP's canary yellow T-shirt with plunging neckline. Unforgivable.
To kick off here's a pic of Muhammad Ali in all his glory. We'll leave the story of the shot to Brett Venables, the smuggest smugger of them all: "Not quite football I know but I thought I’d send it anyway. This photo was taken on Miami Beach in 1982, not long after Ali retired for good from the ring. My brother Mike is on the right and I’m on the left. Ali was casually strolling along the 'strip' on his own and introduced himself to Mike who was out for an early morning stroll too. At Ali’s request (Mike mentioned that our parents staying in the nearby hotel were big fans), Mike fetched the rest of the family to meet him. We even managed to 'spar' with him. Great memories of a great man."
