We nominate Aussie/Scot design duo Vidler & Nixon's black felted wool riding coat. Like so:

We think it sits in that most rare position in fashion - that of the modern classic, passing the "can you take it anywhere?" test So far, yes you can.
Vidler & Nixon say it's about "masculine elegance and dark femininty". We say yum.
And your reviewer has noted that while it would probably look at its most elegant whilst sidesaddle atop a thoroughbred, a rather fine flyaway effect can be achieved whilst riding a bicycle. And with its graduated length, there is none of the usual bulky-coat-in-the-way drama.
Available from Harrods, £590.
We're ready for you now, oh bleak winter.
Don't be fooled by a modest invitation in an unassuming address (read: boxrom), for lurking beyond the threshold you're sure to find room only for the host's inner circle, comprising what Style has identified as the microparty. And so to Bella Freud's Journey to the End of the Night, a collaboration with the model/photographer Elle Muliarchyk (who made her name as the "guerrilla model", photographing herself in changing rooms).
How to show a full exhibition in a room that measures roughly 4ft by 8 ft? Whack on a couple of slide shows. How to accommodate all of Bella's close friends (Pam Hogg, pictured; Bianca Jagger, Dinos Chapman, Katie Grand, Charlotte Tilbury, Lady Gabriella Windsor)? Appropriate the pavement, then smirting and huddling in the cloudless evening comes as a matter of course. How to eavesdrop on the stars? Just do as you are... "It's like New York," said Bianca Jagger, referring to all the shivering guests (remember that euphemism next time you're partying in cold nights).
Hello Dinos Hello Katie Hello Bianca
And what better way to encourage sales of Bella's cult "Ginsberg is God" sweaters (that her two assistants were flogging on the night with a cardboard box for a sales desk), by encouraging a plummet in guests' body temperature?
Sharpen your elbows and get in the queue....If you make a trip to M&S today, you're sure for a big surprise as they have had a second delivery of their sell-out leather dress. At only £149 and worn by their resident model, Lizzy Jagger, its an absolute must for this season. Get your Oyster card topped up and make your way to M&S Marble Arch now!!
Chunky knits are so cosy on, they make you feel warm and cuddly and the more oversized they are the better cause when sitting you can pull them down over your knees. One of my favs out there is the grey polar bear oversize knit by Stella McCartney £745. However, £745 is a holiday in the caribbean which lets be honest will give you even more of a warm feeling.
So here's the best of both worlds - you can have the holiday and whilst your waiting for your flight you can also snuggle up in this similiar one from Diesel £140. Ok so it's a man jumper but its chunky cheaper and will give you that oversized look. Whats more the guys at Diesel tell me that girls are going crazy for this piece (see me in it). Or just buy it for your boy and nick it!
But don't get too comfy in it - remember you've got to keep your bod in check to look good in that bikini.
At the end of last week, the Ecologist magazine published a list of things they hate about modern life and we thought we'd do our own (plus things we love, because we're a happy lot really).
Things We Hate
People who flake on social arrangements, by text, twenty minutes before you're due to meet
Discount cashmere that pills after one wearing
Ready-peeled mini carrots (we try to love them but we just can't)
Eco-guilt
Bargain basement celebrity
Zips and pockets with no discernible function
Apple envy (as in, I just got a Nano, now I want a Touch)
Christmas present angst in early November
Things We Love
Very expensive, very posh shoes (a nice pair of Louboutins will do)
The G-Whiz, solar panels, farmer's markets and anything else that makes us feel better about eco-guilt
Being able to buy every conceivable shade of nail varnish under the sun
Cheap, well-made camping equipment for summer (and winter) stargazing
Woolly tights with lycra
Gourmet pies (especially lamb and mint ones)
Independent designer boutiques
American TV imports (Gossip Girl coming to ITV2 soon ...)
Frock on Line is a fabulous new website cooked up by Rachel Perrett, former buyer of Joy. It's an on- line fashion and accessories boutique, selling desirable yet affordable fashion. For women who may not have a Net-a-Porter kind of budget, www.frockonline.com is ideal as most items are under £100. Rachel sources from all over Europe, visiting Paris and Copenhagen several times a year. I suggest checking out the evening party dresses as they are totally unique yet affordable. This silk devore sash dress with detachable straps and Liberty style print is just £98. Get surfing the web and click into www.frockonline.com
Marcus Lupfer's range of jumpers for TopShop will no doubt be a massive sell out....sequins set in shapes of lips and giant lipsticks decorate the collection. Due to launch on October 31st, they are made from 100% lambswool and at only 85 quid you will feel a million dollars. Along with Marcus, there are other designers selling their wears under the 'Boutique' umbrella. Peter Jensen (due to launch on the same day) and Ashish (due to launch beginning of November) will also have small collections too. Mark it in your diary and don't miss out. by Sara Hassan
Last night Colin McDowell and I hosted a special readers evening at Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge. We talked about trends and shared fashion gossip then invited people to ask us questions. It ended up being a live Wardrobe Mistress session. Here is what the readers wanted to know.
Q I’m on the short side. What boots should I wear to make my legs look longer?
A Regular ankle boots will shorten your leg and give you a stunted look so go for a low cut bootie, or shoe-boot, which shows your ankles. A platform, however small with give you extra height and have that elongating effect. I love Christian Louboutin’s fringe fronted booties and no, they are not comfortable, no high heels really are.
Q I’m over sixty. Where should I shop on the high street?
A Not everything in Zara is right for you but if you choose carefully, you will come away with some great pieces. The tailoring is especially good. You can find fabulous coats and jackets and the classic mac is one of the best on the high street. Zara also have a really nice pair of narrow trousers in-store at the moment. Jigsaw has some good things now. The brand was descending into droopy, dreary hell, but it has upped the fashion quotient. I also really rate Cos. The clothes are grown up, well designed and made from good quality materials. They also have a fashion edge. It is especially good for T-shirts, knits and trousers. www.cosstores.co.uk
Q Why do designers make expensive clothes that can only be worn by very young women? Older women, who could afford the clothes, might not be able to wear them because so many of the dresses are sleeveless. When you are older, you feel self-conscious about your arms. What do you suggest?
A Go and look at Donna Karan. Her clothes are very considerate and woman friendly but are also very sophisticated. For autumn/winter, she has some slinky dresses that have long sleeves. www.donnakaran.com Claudia Croft
Last night I got to celebrate St Crispins day (the patron saint of cobblers) with the people from John Lobb and a few members of the press.
John Lobb was launching their 2007 limited edition shoe which means it's only available to buy for a year. It was modern and sleek with a smooth finish, available in four different colours and costs only £720.
As well as the champers and yummy canapes (I was quite hungry) the highlight of the evening was when my mate Abbi from Maxim won a pair of ridiculously expensive men's shoes. I could see all the men in the room turn green with envy and I knew they were all thinking what a waste!

We've seen the pictures from the glam parties, we've seen Kate rocking her new fringe in her Tophsop pantsuit, and now - finally, today, right now - we can buy the latest Kate Moss look at tophsop.com.
But how to wear it all without looking like some saddo who's trying to look like Moss - and how to avoid running the risk of turning up in the same outfit as a million other high street shoppers at every Christmas party you go to? The answer is, steer clear of the beaded fripperies, and stick to the classics. They'll work into your wardrobe better, and you're much more likely to be able to get away with telling people they're a little find you picked up in le marais.
Our picks are:
The stripey dress for £60
The tux for £80
The red clutch - a total bargain at £25...
And these black satin trousers £50 - so simple and so sexy.
Now that the days are getting chillier and my cute little bomber jacket is not keeping in the heat, I have my eye on this pretty pussy bow coat £240 from Whistles.
While you're there check out the new complete re-designed website just launched last week. Not only can you now buy online but it also offers style tips and highlights key trends for the coming season, whats more the fashion is updated twice weekly so it's kept fresh.
The online boutique also offers fashions from other labels. Check out LA designer Michael Stars for slinky jersey dresses or if your after a bit of sparkle click on Antik Batik and Pink Soda.
So save yourself a few blisters and do all the shopping legwork from the comfort of your own sofa with your favourite tipple.
To launch A Hedonist's Guide to Life - an anthology of 75 essays on how to have the most fun ever, written by, among others, Sir Clement Freud, Moby, Miranda Sawyer and Oscar Humphries, plus a bunch of Style's star writers - hot London club Maya opened its doors last night, poured the champagne and cranked up the volume. Jodie Harsh, Queens of Noize and David Piper DJed to a very merry crowd, the bar (supplied by Pussy Cocktails - yes, cue lots of gags about drinking pussy) was drunk dry, phone numbers were swapped, and Kelly Osbourne and Patrick Wolf even crashed in on the action. Mischief was high on the agenda - the Wolf even tried to pinch editor Fleur Britten's hat, an admittedly rather covetable black felted wool cap by Aitor Throup - she had to chase him through the dance floor to retrieve it as he left wearing it atop his red mop. And as the stars spilled out of Maya, the paps took chase, and were not disappointed - see what happened next here: a perfectly hedonistic bit of girl-on-queen action.
Missed out on tickets to the BBC Electric Proms tonight? Too bad, because you'll miss out on this - the premiere of Sigur Ros's beautiful "rock film" Heima, (icelandic for "at home"), which documents the Icelandic band's tour across their homeland, as they play in the most beautiful outdoor locations to lots of locals all wearing cosy Fair Isle sweaters.
Listening to Sigur Ros's haunting post-rock-meets-classical music against the panoramic backdrop of Iceland's fjords, icy rivers, icebergs and majestic hills where wild ponies roam, is not only tourism on your touche but almost as therapeutic as a brisk walk in the countryside.
The film is showing again on 5th November at the NFT, with a live performance by the band afterwards, but guess what - it's sold out already. Fret not though - the DVD itself goes on sale on the same day. Highly recommended.
Nice T-shirt, non?!
And as an ambassador for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Campaign, the model Anouck Lepere is sporting Warehouse's rather fine pink ribbon T-shirt (£16; with a minimum £2 donation to the campaign).
"Everything you buy is supporting something or someone, so I buy from people I like to support," says the model Anouck Lepere, Style's "I am What I am" star last week.
If you hurry along to Warehouse before the end of October, you too can clothe yourself in a good look and a good cause. There's also a pretty pink ribbon charm necklace, for £14.
Talk about retail therapy.
Yes Yes Yes! was my reply when Kate (Style's picture editor) said we were shooting Daphne Guinness on Wednesday, want to do it? and then I heard Rankin would be shooting it. So here's me feeling really intimidated working with Rankin, a hot photographer who's pretty damn cool and known to be a bit of diva, and Daphne Guinness, one of the most stylish British women ever!!
The brief was film noir and I knew I had some pretty decent bits thanks to Browns, www.net-a-porter and Matches and Daphne would be bringing along some of her own clothes. The lady's got great personal style so it was thought she should be her and just do her thing. Oh dear, but when she threw off her clothes and came out in just her stockings and knickers, I thought, uh-oh, I'm going to be in trouble when people see these pictures. Then she put on one of her shirts and a beautiful sequin corset by Chanel over the top and suddenly, she wasn't trashy, she's was very sexy and chic. We had a cover! And I had my very own real life barbie doll, the fruition of all my fashion dreams.
Tonight is the launch party at Lucianos for our very own AA Gill's new book, Table Talk. But host for the evening, Marco Pierre White, has been through the motions of it all once already. Last week, Gill had a furious Marco on the phone on Monday night, wondering why on earth no one had yet arrived for the supposedly star studded bash. When Gill calmly responded that Marco had, in fact, got the wrong week, Marco was heard to yell, "But what the hell am I supposed to do?! I've got sixty staff and three thousand canapes here!"
We've heard that poor Marco then donated them all to food shelters across London. Let's hope he's ready tonight, we wouldn't want to see too many hungry A listers mulling around...
I was in the Swarovski box at Fashion Rocks alongside junior catwalk superstar Christopher Kane. He had persuaded Beth Ditto to sing for him, (“Britney wouldn’t return our calls,”) and it was one of the most hotly anticipated performances of the evening. Kane had made Ditto a very special frock for the occasion, it was slinky and red and sparkled with thousands of Swarovski crystals. “I made her a sparkly bra and knickers too because she said she might take the dress off at the end,” he revealed. The whole Kane posse was there, his mum, sister Sandra and other sister Tammy as well as various boyfriends and friends. We watched and whooped as Ditto tore the house down (Tammy was shushed for talking too loudly by the next door box). We all wanted to know one thing. Was Beth Ditto going to take her dress off? Sadly we never got to see her special sparkly smalls. She hiked the frock up a few times but only as far as her thighs. Claudia Croft (Pic from Radio 5 Live on Flickr)
Next time you're in Agent Provocatuer buying your racy lingerie check out their brand new range of saucy sexy shoes.
The shoes have been designed to compliment your underwear and should be worn in the bedroom but will equally look good teamed with a pair of jeans or pencil skirt for the office. Theres nothing like taking a little bit of naughtiness to the office with you to spice up yours and the guy from IT's day......
The shoes are available to buy from 24th October (so you heard it here first) from Agent Provocateur and some selected Kurt Geiger stores. They are also availble to buy online www.agentprovocateur.com
These two are my favourites, they both cost £275.

Poor Pete Burns. The Dead or Alive singer and his husband, Michael Simpson, put on an excellent show for the assembled company last night at the Royal Albert Hall. Not on stage, but in the stalls where, just as the lights went down for Roisin Murphy and Gucci, the loving couple found themselves walking down the wrong set of stairs and unable to reach their section of the stalls. As eyes swivelled in their direction, and in full view of the tv cameras, Simpson tried to drag his surgically-enhanced husband back up the stairs, but Burns was having none of it and stood his ground, shrugging off Simpson and looking around wildly for his seat. As Simpson pulled and Burns resisted, for a moment it looked as if it might be handbags at dawn. A painful three further minutes of wrestling ensued before Burns stroppily conceded and followed his lover back up the stairs. Ouch.
When Arena decided to put David Beckham on the cover of their December issue, they pulled out all the stops. Steven Meisel was called in to shoot it, and Rachel Zoe - she of the Hollywood Zoebots, whose most controversial styling tendency is a pair of (shockhorror) oversized sunglasses - to shoot it. So when the pictures arrived, the magazine was rightly expecting Becks in all his manly, tatooed, honey hued glory. What they weren't expecting was a series of images of him looking decidedly unmanly in a thong and gimp mask.
We know which one we'd rather look at, but lads, is there something you're not telling us?
And you thought it was too early to be thinking about Christmas? Think again girls - the clothes hit the shops next week and if you aren't front of the queue, you going to be left with the trash. But just in case you want to spend - here's a tip. Last night we ran into Daniella Helayel, the designer behind the Brazilian It girl favourite label, Issa. She was looking amazing in this gold swing dress - the very same one she dressed Jennifer Lopez in for her new video, (above). It goes into Harrods at the end of November at £800. Oh, and Daniella paired hers with a pair of frilly Issa knickers. Just like these:

A bronzed and blonde Donatella Versace (who else?) sashayed onto our windy shores last night to give a Style lecture before an audience of fashion peeps, Versace fans and students at the London College of Fashion. The lecture took the form of a conversation with Colin McDowell and ran the gamut of all the big fashion topics. It was very exciting to see one of the industry's most iconic figures in the real. "Real" in the loosest definition of the word, of course: Donatella's face is a work of art all of its own.
ON WOMEN OVER FORTY: She's a huge fan of the older lady. She's used them in her ad campaigns - Demi Moore? Madonna? - and says the key to looking good is exercise and taking care of the skin. When she said fortysomething women were "fabulous," the room (mostly populated by twentysomething students) burst into applause.
ON CELEBRITYVILLE: She said that's it's difficult using celebrities to endorse your products because so many brands do it now."We just use Penelope Cruz," she said. "And that works for us."
ON MEN V WOMEN: "Womenswear or meanswear, which is most fun to design?" asked McDowell. "Well, I like looking at men!" she said.
ON WHAT "SEXY" MEANS NOW: She said that it's evolved a lot. "When Gianni was designing in the eighties, being glamorous was about wearing dresses that were short and colourful and decorative. Now, that just looks trashy. It's all about not revealing too much."
ON THE SIZE ZERO DEBATE: She said that models tend to be thin because of their genetic makeup, not starvation; that thin people do tend to look better in clothes; and that "I don't see any connection between that and eating disorders."
ON OTHER DESIGNERS AND WHO HER SUCCESSOR WILL BE: It'll probably be someone from London. She loves Christopher Kane but the only designer she wears other than her own line is Manolo Blahnik.
ON HER MOST ICONIC DRESS: Gianni's was the Liz Hurley's safety pin dress. Hers was the dress Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards.

The ivory tower of fashion design can seem like a pretty closed shop from the outside, and fashion designers have been largely reticent on the blog front (maintain the mystique, goes the thinking).
But a few have opened the windows. There's Eley Kishimoto's photostory-style reportage (featuring Mark and Wakako's trips to Paris and private order days in the studio etc; all posted by Mark Eley), Jun Takahashi of Undercover blogging on the Japanese fashion site www.honeyee.com (it might all be in Japanese, but you can get a good idea of what's inspiring him visually from the images he posts), English fashion designer Sue Stemp blogging from New York where she designs her party dresses (and parties with all of New York's socialites, if the blog is anything to go by), and Donna Karan on Huffington post, which amply demonstrates that you need to have quite some motivation to keep up a blog (La Karan's postings could be a little more regular).

Now, we all use clothes to make us feel good about ourselves. The hot new bag, the fab new shoes, the ridiculously expensive cashmere coat can all add a bit of a spring to our stillettoed steps. But, surely, the Vanity Ring designed by Markus Kison takes this all a tad too far? Not the most aesthetically pleasing of sparkly adornments, its most important function is as a sort of popularity-ometer. You plug it into its docking station each night, and it updates the number of google searches done on you. So, as if you didn't have enough to worry about, now you can freely panic at all times about how many random people are looking you up on the internet - or not. Fashion freakery crossed with computer geekery does not happy people make...

Trust Kate Moss (or rather her hairdresser buddy James Brown) to come up with a new hairstyle that looks so damn hot we want to take the scissors to our heads immediately. Although the trend-setting super only updates her do every few years, you can pretty much guarantee that when she does it will be a success. The look this time around? A long shaggy bob with a full fringe in front. If you need further proof it is the style of the moment, take a look at Mary-Kate Olsen's fiery orange fringed wig in the latest edition of US Harpers Bazaar.
As a mum I find that buying clothes for kids can be hard - they practically grow in front of your eyes so theres little point in buying expensive clothes that will only be worn once or twice. However, my daughter will not settle for second best and wont be fobbed of with last seasons left-overs. Luckily I have found a solution.
Zara kidswear is cool, stylish, wearable and the best part is it's affordable. Clothes I would wear if I could fit into them. The look for this winter is influenced by the English country which features cute chunky cardis, tweed blazers for boys and pretty jersey frocks for girls. Most importantly they get the thumbs up from my mini me.
And mums while your in there you can still afford to treat yourself. Everyone's a winner!
Girl: Cardi £14.99, Shorts £15.99, Shirt £12.99
Boy: Coat £39.99, Tie £6.99, Shirt £12.99, Jeans £12.99, Trainers £29.99
And Mums can look good too - Tuxedo £89.99, Shoes £59.00

Another week, another art commodity. This week, it's the brand new "artist-designed" Fiat 500 - the artist being Miss Tracey Emin (also with mugs, teapots, shoppers and a book to her brand, I mean name). To coincide with Frieze art fair, Fiat commissioned La Emin to design the livery of four cars, then they gave her one to zip about the fair in.
If you see something like this in London, be sure to check behind the wheel... Actually, they've also lent one to Sir Peter Blake but don't hold your breath at the traffic lights. Why would an establishment artist a) drive round parading their own artwork, and b) drive round parading someone else's?
No, these cars should be bought by the kind of people who bought a Banksy (ie art victims). And luckily for them, one of the series is going to be auctioned on October 13th at the Contemporary Art Auction (all proceeds to Emin's chosen charity PEAS to raise funds for a school library in Uganda). And the fact that Emin has at least touched this car can only boost its value.
Check out this wicked jumpsuit....Asos has launched a new award scheme called Fame, Fortune & Fashion, giving students the chance to submit commercially sellable and desirable fashion! This jumpsuit, designed by this year's winner, Eyizera Phoenix epitomised the Marc Bolan glam rock era. The jumpsuit also happens to be a hot new look for Spring Summer next year so jump on the bandwagon now. Made from pure silk, its only £85 and will be available to buy from Asos on the 22nd October 2007. ASOS

Amy Winehouse out-shopped the Olsen twins! She performed this unbelievable feat of consumerism last night at Harvey Nichols. After turning up late at the store for a dinner hosted by Mary-Kate and Ashley (so late that coffee and desert had been served and most of the guests had gone home), Ms Winehouse locked herself in the loo on arrival and had to be coaxed out by Mary-Kate ("Come out Amy we'd love to meet you"). Then she decided she was in the mood to shop. Top of her list were black towels for the bathroom, two large wire birdcages and a leather jacket for her dad. Fuelled by a constant supply of wine and sugary sweets, the spaced-out star managed to keep shopping until 2.30 am, long after the Olsen's had gone home.

Wonderful news! You don’t, have to be a junior billionaire to shop like an Olsen. The twins were in
London
last night to celebrate the arrival of their upmarket fashion line The Row at Harvey Nichols and Mary Kate confessed they had done a TopShop To Go appointment earlier that day (stylists from the store pay a home visit). She was wearing some of her haul to event. Over a jacket from The Row, (which style rebel MK was wearing as a belted mini-dress) she wore TopShop’s white shaggy fur jacket, £65, and TopShop’s platform shoes also £65. Now that these items have been officially blessed by Mary-Kate, how long do you think they will take to sell out? Buy them yourself at www.topshop.com
Later that night (about midnight) the Olsens also went for a private spree in Harvey Nichols (maybe you don’t get a big enough buzz from buying cheap things). They focused on shoes, bulk purchasing heels from Azzedine Alaia, Laurence Dacade and new Brit heel merchant Jonathan Kelsey. Expensive? You bet. That's more like it ladies.
Art and fashion have always been hot in bed together (though historically, fashion has been a bit more horny for art).
Little has changed this week. To coincide with the Frieze Art Fair (and presumably to lure in the art crowd desperate for a bit of outfit one-upmanship), Marc Jacobs pays host to a sculpture entitled "Unicorn", by his friend the British artist Rachel Feinstein. And no, sniff, it's not for sale - save your pennies for wearable art. For sold here is the very lovechild of art and fashion. Marc Jacobs has printed one of Feinstein's mirror portraits (seen here on the wall behind Unicorn) on to T-shirts, and is selling them for a very reasonable £20 (proceeds to the NSPCC). And the joy in wearable art, of course, is that the wearer is instantly equipped with a conversational crutch. So, with the cue, "Ooh, interesting T-shirt," the art hag can then say, "Yes, well it's one of Rachel Feinstein's mirror portraits. And that's meant literally and figuratively. It's painted onto a mirror, you see, but it's also a warped reflection of Rachel herself, a kind of female Dorian Gray)." Anti-art-hags might prefer the NSPCC discussion.
Of course we at Style don't believe in magic. We just aim to report facts objectively....
So there I was, moodily sipping Heartsease mineral water - a watery-tasting water from the forests of Wales - in a bar when I was really too cantankerous to be out and about and polluting the good times. I had heart-ache. In my self-pity, I resorted to reading the label of said water.... "The Heartsease spring is named after the heartsease pansy. Folklore has it that the flower has special properties which can mend a broken heart... "
Suddenly I was interrupted by someone who looked just like Bobby from Twin Peaks. Hello stranger! Then a French homme chased me into the night - I gave him the slip, but I wondered... Magic? The psychology of placebo? or just a very attractive accessory to swing about in a bar? That it looked like I was swigging neat vodka straight from the bottle must have helped.
We waited for over an hour for the Vuitton show to start and to amuse myself, I read the show notes. You can imagine how excited I was to read that that the final exit was Marc himself wearing Dior Homme with SpongeBob SquarePants trunks. Mark Jacobs in trunks? Why not? The designer has fallen in love with his new gym and diet honed physique and loves showing it off. He recently posed naked for the covers of Out and Arena Homme Plus so take his bow in a pair of clingy bathers would be no problem for him. I sat through the show wishing for the end to come. "Oooh. Marc in Trunks! That'll make a picture!" I thought, and primed my camera ready for action. Then he appeared, suited and booted and carrying a minature travel trunk with digital images of SpongeBob SquarePants playing on it. I got a hunk with a trunk, not a hunk in a trunk. I don't think I'll get over the disappointment. Claudia Croft

On the eve of the publication of "Cooler, Faster, More Expensive," Peter York's update on his legendary Sloane Ranger Handbook, look who's wearing a proper Barbour jacket. Only Lily Allen! It's all the rage, this country goes-to-the-city thing. Not only have the festival-going classes taken to wearing wellies to nightclubs but both Boxfresh (above) and Fred Perry have produced their own versions of the iconic outdoorsy waxed jacket (Boxfresh's is an official collaboration with Barbour). Not everyone's pleased about the trend. A boy in a blue Barbour I met last night in a pub in Bethnal Green was quite peeved.
Boy: "Fred Perry are w***ers. And I hate the Boxfresh one too. People who wear the fake ones are frauds and phoney |
