Super mum Myleene: is it okay to enlist your baby to promote your clothing line?

Myleene2

We like sunny-faced Myleene Klass. We like her a lot. Recently, she's taken an extra turbo-powered leap into our affections by letting the mask down on her life as a mum/celebrity and giving us a deliciously frank account of how it isn't quite so shiny as she might otherwise have allowed us to think. Mama Klass: surely a shoo-in for the next OK! mag Mum of the Year award?

But that last appearance in Cannes left us feeling odd. A pram, a baby and a killer cocktail dress on the red carpet? Cute look. Until someone tells you about the range of baby clothes she's launching today for Mothercare. And then the whole spectacle begins to look less working-mum-making-the-best-of-the-babysitter-letting-her-down and more like cynical product pushing. Which isn't a problem per se. We just think she should be honest about it.

We can all see from the picture that the baby is very well covered, which begs the question as to how is she using the baby to promote a product we cannot see?!
I agree with JACKS,this is unwarranted criticism towards a mother who clearly enjoys spending time with her baby.

It is pure product pushing and unacceptable. Has this woman no shame?

I'm not sure that I like seeing a baby used as a fashion accessory, but I would have loved having prettier clothes to wear when I was tottering about with a huge bulge.

I really liked Myleene's pictures in the M&S ads. A super real girl rather than a 6' toast rack!

Maybe not a pushchair on the red carpet though. A chance for a break from the baby!

Whoever wrote this is of the OPINION that Myleene Klass is enlisting her baby to promote her clothing line. First of all, why do Brits love to build someone up and then try to find a reason to tear them down? Secondly, so what if she is 'using' her baby to promote her clothing line? I'm sure that many working mothers would love to be able to spend more time with their children and if they could someone incorporate them into their working lives they would! Maybe the person who posted this is just jealous....
And Jinx - you USED to like her? Why, did you personally know her? Are you going to dislike her now because of an opinion a stranger has written?

So that's why she was coming out of Nobu with her baby...it's quite sad really I used to like her.
