The Carnage Continues
The third round of the UK National Surfboat championships takes place this weekend, with the action switching from North Devon to just over the county line at Widemouth Bay, Cornwall. Swell is expected to be reasonable at around three foot, with Widemouth providing sand reef setups at either end of the beach and chunky beachbreak waves in the middle. Perranporth Tigers and Porthtowan Penetrators currently share first place on 54.5 points, with the St Agnes Bad Lads lurking in third with 48. As ever, no quarter will be given, either in the waves, or in the bars. Racing gets underway at 6.00pm on Saturday evening. Report to follow next week.
