Hackers wanted to protect democracy
Calling all hackers. The Philippines government needs your help. In order to ensure its new $452,000 (£225,000) online voting system is ready for the next election, it needs to perform a thorough system penetration test. That's where you come in.
You're invited to unleash your digital bag of tricks at the system once the country's Commission on Elections begins testing it in July.
For good measure, election officials have contacted Washington DC-based International Foundation for Electoral System to see if they can lend any hackers to the task.
As one sly Slashdot reader quipped: I'm sure all the REAL hackers will RSVP.
