Chinese iPhone runs Windows...

Or so it seems. YouTube relays to us the ceremonial unpacking of an iPhone rip-off, complete with Windows chimes on start-up.

Can China make me a BBC iPlayer that works without XP?

I bet it is cheap and useable and you don't get tied to Apple, or t-mobile.

Mmmm, that looks like a poor imitation of the real thing to me. I definitely heard some windows tones in there though. I don't know whether Microsoft and/or Apple will be happy about that. The dual SIM slots were a nice touch though.

Oh dear. OK, they made some nice hardware, but why not at least put some effort into the GUI? Even the 'Abort call' control was a tiny button that could only be pressed using the stylus. If you're going to create a knock off, do it in style! Sell a million, Apple will then sue you, you pay them off, walk away with the rest and then all your customers will buy the real thing. Either way, Apple wins. :-)

Heh, at one point I thought they were gonna smash it, made me chuckle a little. Until, that is, they pulled the stylus out and starting tap tap tapping away. :(

tPhone? f'real? really?? c'mon!

Well, since right now iPhones are sold only on the US, it s not a big problem. But when they start to be sold worldwide a lot of angry consumers will buy rip-offs!
