Let your shoes do the walking

Ishoes_2

So you need to get to a meeting in a hurry, but you don’t want to arrive all hot and bothered from running. The answer, obviously, is a pair of motorised shoes, and fortunately just such a thing is made by iShoes. They have a top speed of 13.5 mph and cost $599 (£300) for the pair.

Isn't the whole "need to get somewhere quick with less work than walking" thing what bikes and (dare I say it) scooters are for?

Notice none of the shots show people on bikes in the background liesurely passing the guy.

Not a good look.

Also no shots of the guy slipping on spilled coffee on the office floor or approaching a surprise set of steps on a busy sidewalk.

Also, no shots of him making quick turns.
In fact, we only see him make slow curves on the sidewalk approaching the bridge.
In the office, he's just going straight, and though they take the video right up to the meeting room door, they don't show him trying to get through.

If you really want to get around fast, you should get a streetstrider!

You do the same motion as the elliptical trainer in the gym, BUT you are OUTDOORS!!

SO similar to crosscountry skiing motion.

Click on my name below to watch a video on youtube. Or search for streetstrider demo.
Exercise, transportation, remember you are outdoors. They are even designing an indoor trainer.

i think these did not convenient when turning in the corner expecially.

Were such an item begin to catch on, consider high traffic on the sidewalks, it'd be worse than cars because people without any kind of strict shape or form will overtly become entangled, mangled, and otherwise simply perturbed as they crash into each other unable to steer these crazy things.
(And are they fast enough to be classed as a vehicle as to disallow any kind of drinking beforehand?)
