Free petrol from Electronic Arts. We're not sure why either

Do you have a car? Want a free tank of petrol? Well, Electronic Arts are happy to oblige.

OK, so as publicity stunts go, this one doesn’t make that much sense.

Here’s the skinny. EA are releasing a new game, “Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.” To get you to notice this fact, they’re going to “hijack” a “small, independently owned petrol station in North London near Finsbury Park” (as mercenaries are liable to do, geddit?).

For tomorrow only, each lucky customer will have their vehicle tank filled up to the value of £40, with either petrol or diesel. You've just got to find the place first. So if you happen to be in the area, have an eye out.

UPDATE: Oh dear. Chaos at £20,000 petrol giveaway, apparently.
