Promises and lies

Back in December 2005, the BCCI released its vision statement for the 21st century. In this probing article, Cricinfo's Ajay Shankar scrutinises it and finds a trail of broken promises. Transparency? World-class stadiums? Alice in Wonderland?

They did make more money than expected though. Why are we not surprised?

    has been writing on Indian cricket for nearly a decade. An associate editor with Cricinfo, he’s also Asian cricket correspondent for the Sunday Times and Inside Sport.
