England down one place to No 12 in Fifa rankings
Would we care normally? No. But England's new position in Fifa's rankings means that they will not be among the top seeds for Sunday's 2010 World Cup qualifying draw. There will be nine European groups which means England will face one from Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Holland, Croatia or Greece.
Here are the rankings in full, especially for those of you who live on a island in the South Pacific. Just how hard is it for you to get to away games (please leave your comments below)?:

If only England's pampered playboys had the heart and guts of their scottish counterparts. As an Englishman I have often felt scornful of the small minded ' anyone but England' mentality north of the border and It grieves me to fuel it. However it has to be said that the Scottish team went down fighting to the world champions. What a stark contrast to the pathetic surrender of our media obsessed , car collecting , WAG dominated collection of preening second-raters. The sight of Lampard inviting wembley's adulation for the simple act of converting a penalty (for a change) was almost laughable. The sooner he and his like retire to their mansions and yachts the better. Hope your lambo gets a flat tyre pal.
