Where will Fulham finish under Hodgson?

Roy Hodgson has been named as the new manager of Fulham, succeeding Lawrie Sanchez, and has been charged by Mohamed Al Fayed, the chairman, with the task of keeping the ailing club in the Premier League. Hodgson has experienced mixed fortunes at managerial level, enjoying great success in Scandinavia, but less so at Blackburn Rovers, having been sacked from the Ewood Park hotseat in November 1998.

In today's Times Online poll, we want you to tell us where you think Fulham will finish at the end of the season under Hodgson. Cast your vote below.

I feel the biggest impact he will have will be his overseas contacts, allowing him to bring in some quality loan deals. At last i think we will get something we have been sadly lacking for some time............a spine.

Roy Hodgson has always done well when he's gone abroad. Last time he was over in these lands managing Blackburn, it was a time he would much rather forget. For some reason every time Hodgson manages an English club they are doomed! Hence the reason he has spent a lot of time abroad.

Hodgson for Blackburn? Hodgson for England? Hodgson for Fulham. Given Mr Fayed's finances would it not have been better to let Lewington have a crack at the job? If Roy was as good as all Fulham fans hope he might be then why has he been unfavoured with another job for so long? I wish him well but the Premiership is hard work these days and managers are blamed on very few performances. Chris Coleman can tell you all about that.

I believe it will be just above the relegation zone. This season, the competition is very keen in the top 10. Not easy for a relegation candidate to displace any of them.

Hodgson will have done pretty well to stabilize Fulham and prevent the drop. Next season will be a more appropriate time to judge him.

Obviously a few people having a bit of a laugh with the poll - don't think Fulham are ready to break the big four yet.

This is probably tailor-made for Hodgson. He has some decent players there. With organisation and motivation I think his experience will help galvanise the players. There will be three worse teams than them by the season's end is my prediction.
