Scouting report: Greece v Sweden
Hit - Andreas Isaksson
The Swede has let it be known he is in the shop window, having never managed to establish himself at Manchester City, and he would certainly be a decent signing for any British club in need of a capable goalkeeper. He conceded eight goals in his previous competitive match, as City ended their season in abject style away to Middlesbrough, but here he looked confident, assured and, when tested by Angelos Charisteas and Angelos Basinas in the first half, perfectly reliable.
Miss - Theofanis Gekas
The Greece forward attracted a little interest from Premier League clubs a year or so ago after a prolific season in the Bundesliga for Vfl Bochum, but the 28-year-old, now at Bayer Leverkusen, showed little sign of that quality in Salzburg before making way for Giorgios Samaras at half-time. Admittedly he was marshalled impressively by Olof Mellberg, but Otto Rehhagel, the Greece coach, evidently expected more from him.
