Thursday's transfer gossip: Arsenal and Tottenham battle for Peter Crouch?

Here's our round-up of all today's transfer rumours, including news of Arsenal and Tottenham fighting it out to sign Peter Crouch, the latest on David Bentley's future and of course your daily dose of Cristiano Ronaldo gossip.

Gunner Crouch - Daily Mirror
Arsene Wenger is considering a shock move for the Liverpool forward, as a replacement for Emmauel Adebayor, who is set to join AC Milan. Wenger is also watching Mario Gomez and Blackburn's Roque Santa Cruz.

Spurs want Crouch and Benayoun in £15m deal - Daily Mail
Juande Ramos has joined the bidding war for Crouch by offering £9m, plus another £6m for Yossi Benayoun.

Ronaldo has told Manchester United that he will return to pre-season training.

United to meet Real - Daily Mail
David Gill, the Manchester United chief executive, and Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon will come face to face in Nyon, Switzerland on July 7, when the new European Club Association is convened.

Adebayor will stay at Arsenal if the club treble his wages to £120,000 per week.

Spurs drive Bentley deal - Daily Mirror
Tottenham will offer Aaron Lennon in a £15m player-plus-cash offer for David Bentley, the Blackburn Rovers midfielder.

Wigan in £8m plan to land AJ - Daily Mirror
Steve Bruce is planning an £8m move for  Andrew Johnson, the Everton striker.

Sunderland in £10m bid to land Johnson - Daily Mail
Roy Keane has already made a £10m offer for the England striker.

Shore-fire Harry plan - Daily Mirror
Harry Redknapp, the Portsmouth manager, is preparing a £3m offer for Nicky Shorey, the Reading left-back. 

Hodgson's Ful steam ahead to sign Kitson - Daily Mirror
Fulham are planning a £2.5m move for Dave Kitson, the Reading forward.

O'Neill to save Robbo's career - Daily Mirror
Aston Villa are hoping to seal a £4m move for Paul Robinson in the next few days.

Gardner switch - The Sun
Stoke City are set to complete the £2m signing of Anthony Gardner, the Tottenham defender.

Wright move, Jim - The Sun
Ipswich are hoping to re-sign goalkeeper Richard Wright from West Ham.

Cab for Bruce - The Sun
Wigan are close to signing Paraguay striker Salvador Cabanas, the South American Player of the Year.

Getting free of Adabayor and Eboue should be top priority. Crouch will be ok for one season

Not Gooner quality??

He scored a hatrick against the arse 2 seasons ago!!

If a game was won by pointless passing Arsenal would be Premier League Champs!!But u have to get the ball in the Onion Bag mate!

Crouch is similiar to Adeboyar because his a target man and he can hold the ball up very well.

Why not break the habit of a lifetime Wenger and sign an English player!!

Crouch and Arsenal cannot be said together in same sentence. He is rubbish, no way arsenal quality.
