Tuesday's transfer gossip: Chelsea's Kaka hopes in tatters?

Despite prolonged talks aboard Roman Abramovich's private yacht, AC Milan officials are still refusing to sell Kaka, the Brazilian playmaker.

Ramos is 'Avin a laugh - The Sun
Juande Ramos, the Tottenham manager, has been told to increase his £16m offer for Andrei Arshavin, the Zenit St Petersburg forward, with the Russian club holding out for £21.5m. 

Adebayor keeps future options open - The Guardian
Emmanuel Adebayor has once again refused to commit his future to Arsenal after he held talks with  Arsene Wenger on Monday.

Keegan ponders Reyes move - The Guardian
The Newcastle United manager could make a move for Jose Antonio Reyes, the former Arsenal winger, after he fell out of favour at Atletico Madrid.

Bentley hit by hold-up - Daily Mirror
The Blackburn winger has pulled out of the club's training camp in Germany as his frustration grows over the slow progress of his move to Tottenham.

West Ham not Gud move for Eidur - Daily Mail
Eidur Gudjohnsen says he is staying at Barcelona after turning down a £5m move to West Ham United.

Zig's bi for Villa - The Sun
Aston Villa are considering making a bid for Nicola Zigic, the 6ft 7in Valencia striker, who could cost £5m.

Villa plot Brad bid - Daily Mirror
Martin O'Neill is also planning to sign Brad Friedel for £2m, with a view to signing Wayne Hennessey from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of next season.

City eye fab Zab - The Sun
Manchester City are poised to make a £6m bid for Pablo Zabaleta, the Espanyol midfielder.

Bolton to miss out on Riga - Daily Mail
Bolton have had a £320,000 offer for Mustapha Riga, the Levante winger, turned down.

Pear-shaped for McLeish - Daily Mail
Alex McLeish, the Birmingham City manager, has put his £575,000 move for Stephen Pearson on hold because the Derby midfielder will not be fit for at least a month.

Keane hopeful of luring £23m quartet - The Guardian
The Sunderland manager says he is optimistic about his plans to sign Pascal Chimbonda, Steed Malbranque, Younes Kaboul and Teemu Tainio.

King fits Hull bill - Daily Mirror
Hull are close to signing Marlon King, the Wigan Athletic forward, for £3m and are trying to persuade Bolton to reduce their £3m asking price for Abdoulaye Meite.

If anyone want's a laugh the Telegraph launched it's new website today and during all the fuss the content editor must have missed the cropping on this picture relating to the Adebayor transfer, obviously made by an unhappy Arsenal fan who works there:
