Friday's transfer gossip: Redknapp to resurrect Ljungberg's Premier League career

Harry Redknapp believes Freddie Ljungberg (right) can strengthen the right side of his midfield. The Swedish international is a free agent after being released by West Ham.

Real Madrid have the Brazilian's move to Chelsea in doubt by expressing their determination to keep him at the Bernabeu.

The striker is considering his future at the club after contract talks stalled. Sunderland and Hamburg have shown interest in the 24-year-old.

Villa boss has fallen for Fell - Daily Mirror
Martin O'Neill is weighing up a £5million bid for Marouane Fellaini, the Standard Liege midfielder, after he impressed against Liverpool in the Champions League.

Larsson in demand - Daily Mail
Everton, Tottenham, Celtic and Feyenoord are all keen on the veteran Swedish striker. The 37-year-old is reported to have had a series of bitter rows with Helsingborg's chairman.

Johnson swoop - Daily Mirror
Gary Johnson, the Bristol City manager, wants to sign James Scowcroft from Crystal Palace. Neil Warnock is likely to sanction the move if he completes the signing of Alan Lee and another striker.

Sonko's going potty - The Sun
Stoke City have snapped up Ibrahim Sonko from Reading and will pay £2.5million for his services. The defender is out of favour with Steve Coppell after refusing to play in a reserve match.
