Adding up Sheffield United's claim

The Daily Mail has gone to the trouble of breaking down what the Blades want to claim in compensation from West Ham United after their successful tribunal ruling in the latest instalment of the Carlos Tevez affair:

Premier League Payments

Basic award: £6,722,992
Merit payment for 2006-07 if club finished 17th not 18th: £484,182
TV revenue: £5,235,782
Overseas broadcasting revenue: £4,669,023
Premier League sponsorship: £452,640
Commercial contract and radio contract: £1,342,892
Club would return Football League payments recieved during 2007-08: £1,284,926
Sub-total: £20,503,868

Lost Ticket Sales

Match-day tickets: £1,172,798.83
Season tickets: £1,066,948
Sub-total: £2,239,746.83

Sponsorship, Catering and Merchandising Losses

Team sponsorship and advertising: £994,199
Club merchandise and programmes: £253,075
Private boxes: £121,300
Catering: £80,015
Match sponsorship: £33,200
Sub-total: £1,481,789

Lost Value of Players

Best player Phil Jagielka able to join Everton for £4m if club relegated. Club estimates true value at £8m: £4,000,000

Additional Expenses

Stewarding, policing and ambulance for four extra home Championship games: £23,651

Additional Finance Costs

Relegation forced repayment of £5m loan and securing of £10m from different bank with greater interest payments: £577,753.51

Reduced Grants

Youth academy and community funding: £337,048

Ticket Levy

Three percent of ticket revenue goes to Football League. Premier League does not impose levy: £175,448.62

Lost Business

Loss of lucrative pre-season tour overseas: £531,989.90

Legal Costs: £525,602.46

Total: £30,396,897
