McCain's Sunshine State Victory
The right of the blogosphere reacts:
Ace of Spades: “So here we are. [McCain] peaked at precisely the right moment. This was his good luck.”
The Campaign Spot: “McCain had the strongest credentials on national security in the field, and that's still the driving issue in Republican primaries - not by a wide margin, but by enough.”
Bill Kristol at The Campaign Standard: "[I]f you look at McCain's favorable/unfavorable rating, it's strong among all Republicans, including conservatives. So McCain has some work to do with more conservative Republicans, but not as much as you would think from listening to some talk radio or reading some conservative blogs"
Reihl World View: “If McCain channeled anyone when he spoke tonight, it wasn't Ronald Reagan. It was Lawrence Welk. What an unmitigated disaster this guy would be in November.”
PoliPundit: “An elderly RINO who’s been in the Senate since the beginning of time vs. a Clinton. We know how that goes.”
Captain’s Quarter: “Rumors have floated that Giuliani will withdraw and endorse McCain. If he does, that may be enough to push McCain even further towards inevitability -- or it may not have any effect at all.”
Flopping Aces: “In November our most left leaning, liberal Republican will take on a even more left leaning liberal Hillary or Obama. And I will have to vote for McCain.”
Powerline: “Since McCain has been in Romney's position, he should understand that losing is particularly galling when the winner has distorted your record, as McCain did in Florida. McCain's scarcely veiled contempt for Romney (something that McCain has not experienced) doesn't help either. I hope McCain will forbear from smearing his rival the rest of the way.”

This guy is such a liability!

One can only be happy with the demise of Giuliani, but with the Republican primaries, one social menace is only replaced by another.
The Republican primaries remind me of one of those Universal pictures of the late 1930s and early '40s, Dracula meets Frankenstein and the Werewolf.

What an unmitigated disaster.! If, as seems likely, Giuliani backs McCain, we have the choice of FOUR Socialists to vote for in November. The terrorists are happy, and a Recession is almost guaranteed. Hello Fairness Doctrine, and goodbye to what was left of the Constitution. It should be fun (sarcasm) watching this four give the store away.

Hillary hails victory in Florida? Smells like desperation to me. The Clintons look old and tired, it's time for America to throw out yesterdays news. The time is now, America.
President Obama... It's got a nice ring to it.

McCain plays dirty politics and is a RINO! I'm a very conservative Republican and if this clown wins the GOP nomination, he will NOT get my vote! I will abstain from voting for the first time ever. He disgusts me. This is a presidential race and he's smeared Mitt Romney, unfairly, I might add, every chance he gets. I voted for Romney as governor of MA and now live in FL. This FL primary had a high turnout because of Amendment One: to increase the homestead exemption from $25k to $50K per yr and to allow for $500k portability if moving to another house in FL. McCain gets the military, elderly and Hispanic vote. He gets the Hispanic vote because he's John AMNESTY McCain! He's rated as ABYSMAL along with ALL the Democrats by NumbersUSA. Check out: ALIPAC, FAIR and Americans for Better Immigration. This man will be dangerous in the WH, not only in regard to immigration but to national defense. He's a hothead who doesn't play fair. No thanks. I'll vote for morals, integrity and TRUE conservatism -- MITT ROMNEY! Shame on the establishment pol's for "endorsing" McCain --it's so obvious you're angling for appointments. And, Huckabee, stop sticking your nose up McCain's ass -- it's not attractive. Romney's an outsider who can't be BOUGHT or BRIBED and that's why he's being shunned by the establishment. WAKE UP AMERICA!
