Fox News slammed over "Obama's baby mama" jibe
Just 48 hours after being forced to demote an anchor for describing an Obama hand gesture as a "terrorist fist jab", Fox News has jumped right back into the fray, this time drawing outrage with a racist reference to the Democratic nominee's wife.
During an interview with conservative commentator Michelle Malkin on a Republican video attacking Michelle Obama, the network repeatedly flashed up a graphic describing the prospective first lady as "Obama's baby mama".
Fox has since attempted to dampen the uproar, saying in a statement to Politico that the producer involved exercised "poor judgment". Now that's got to be a contender for understatement of the year...
Politico cites a Fox staffer as saying that others internally were bothered by the use of the offensive epithet - derogatory hip-hop slang for "the mother of your child(ren), whom you did not marry and with whom you are not currently involved", according to the Urban Dictionary.
Malkin, a paid Fox News contributor, defends the use of the term by noting that Michelle once referred to Obama as her "baby's daddy." Not quite the same thing, but nice try.

What a surprise FOX NEWS again, why don't they just scrap that programme. Is anything else going on in the world?. There is a Famine in Ethopia, America is being rocked by Tornadoes. Gas prices is heading towards $5.00 a gallon. There are people losing their homes, Banks are going BUST. Many Black Americans that has been in the ARMED forces fighting for their country, who have to be buried in segerigated cemetery's.
As a Black person who would be proud of that state of affairs, low lives like O'Reilly would think it's great. It's odd that these RACISTS does not think there is anything wrong with American past. I do not think I have ever heard of a single Black person who thinks it was great that their father was Murdered by the KKK. And their kids could not get a good education because they were Black. Mrs Obama is Proud of her country now because she can see the change and how far America has come from their disgraceful past. Which many countries around the world, and many nationalities who see's discrimination as a sick think.

How can Fox News even pretend to be legitimate?

fox news is garbage

These people should be fired. There should be zero tolerance for this kind of nonsense.

The phrase "Fox-News", in the United States, has become an oxymoron.
In the U.S., "Fox-News" is a thinly veiled and highly-biased political organization (Republican) disguised as 'journalists'. They abuse 'freedom of speech' to promote the agenda of the Republican political party.
"Fox-News" is really "Faux-News". They attempt to shape public opinion with lies, distortions, slander, bias and innuendo.
The 'comment' about Michelle Obama is typical of Fox's despicable methods. Fox News does not mind having a few anchors 'fall on their swords' to promote the network's agenda.
Fox News (U.S.) is devoid of any ethical compass. They are an affront to all true and dedicated journalists.

Considering all of the non-partisan, substantive problems we have, such as high fuel prices, rapidly increasing food prices, rising unemployment and an ongoing threat to our saftey,, how can any credible news source spend any time on such nonsense and namecalling as in this "Obama's baby mama" incident. It has been hard to respect all of the choices and actions of Bill Clinton and George Bush but let's try to respect the process of selecting the best president we can based on the issues and competencies.

Why don't FOX NEWS do a coverage on why McCain ran off and left his wife for a younger woman (18 years younger) 1. was it her money. Cindy is 53, so how does a 71 year old been coping with a younger woman over the years, is it Viraga?. What does McCain used to support his kids from his former marrage is it Cindy's money? How many other women he cheated on his wife with?. Fox wants to get dirty.

Is anyone truly surprised by the not-so-recent trend of Fox reporters and producers "accidentally" exercising "poor judgement" when referencing Democratic figures? If you haven't already, please watch the documentary "Out-Foxed", in which Fox's long history of borderline-extreme Republican antics are explored. I, myself, am a moderate looking for an unbiased viewpoint (if those even exist anymore), so to watch this documentary and then watch Fox News is quite a treat. Bottom-line: Fox's inability to mind their manners is not doing itself any favors.

What it's really come down to now is that if you watch Fox News, you're a bigot. The amount of hate and vitriol they spout has really gone over the top, to the point where even some of their staffers are starting to object. And yet they keep paying the likes of Malkin to tell us lies like Dunkin Donuts supports terrorism because Rachel Ray wore a scarf. (Yes, she was the one who started that kerfuffle.) So there really are only two choices--tell Fox News "enough" by no longer watching them or admit to yourself you're a bigot as you keep watching.

Comments like "Obama's baby mama" (and the ensuing media deluges over them) help Obama immeasurably. Sympathy, sympathy, sympathy. Obama's ride to the presidency will be chauffeured by such comments.

Has anybody watched NBC lately? It is like watching a nonstop Obama pep rally.

Funny how she talks about cheap shots while the ultimate cheap shot graphic is displayed on screen! Come on Fox News, you can attack Michelle Obama for her coments, but lay off the racist cheap shots. Have some standards why dont you!

Get ready for 41/2 months of Republicans shouting "Nigger, Nigger, Nigger!" every chance they get.
The Republican Party has positioned itself as the party of race, religious and political hatred, and is embracing bigotry on all fronts.

Fox News is a disgrace.
America is a first world nation with a fourth world mentality. Practically half its population gets its "news" from Fox and believes that everything from global warming to evolution are myths, and that somehow a 5 year tenure in a Viet Cong prison makes someone fit to "lead" the country.
Do check out: www.fightthesmear.com set up to counter the hateful rumors being spread by the far right.

The Republican Party's strategy has, for many years now, depended on fear mongering to drive a wedge into the electorate. There are not enough wealthy people to give them a majority, so they have to find a way to get other segments to vote against their own interests. The gays are getting married! Tax and spend liberals! They want your guns! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Anything to distract from the disaster that the last 8 years have been.

Fox, why don't you take on Cindy McBush, creating with a man 20 -30 years her senior, lying about their age to each other while his wife is dying with cancer. Is this a Christian.

It is now forbidden to tell the truth about Obama Hussein (Hussien?) Barack or whatever the name is? He and his have decided they own the language and its use. Get lost Hussein. We don't take orders from Marxists.
P.S. Why don't you call yourself
"Barry" anymore?

This is typical Brit tempest in a tea pot. Obama and his mamma both hate Whites and they and their associates consider Whites as "blue eyed devils." The writer of the quoted article should get a life and a world view free of White guilt.

Mahatma Ghandi once said "I am Hindu, I am a Muslim, I am a Christian and I am a Jew and so are all of you". We are all colourful human beings - be it brown, black, white, yellow or whatever colour. Stop judging people by their skin colour, race, religion or background, rather judge what they can offer and what their capabilities are. Obama is the better choice of the lot to be the next US President. Hope he can undo some of the catastrophic damages caused by the spineless Bush Administration in the Middle East.

Cheap shots like "Obama's baby momma" for example?

This reporter Malkin ought to be ashamed of herself. She is a disgrace and should be fired. She obviously enjoys derogrative behaviour and seems to be racist. What a pity.

I watched it. I don't see anything offensive about what I watched. The "baby mama" epithet is pretty stupid, but nothing to get excited about.

Fox News is not a real news network. This rubbish continues on and on. So how come there's no boycott of them and their advertisers (hit Murdoch where it hurts)?
Because many people are terrified of being evicted, not having health coverage. And a second war in Iran.
