The rock concert

Matt Spence in Denver

Democrats have "the wave" going inside the stadium. After performances by Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, and will.i.am, and with stars like Jessica Alba and Spike Lee sitting up front, this has officially turned into the rock concert the Republicans have been talking about. Will the backlash come tomorrow? For tonight at least, those in the building are enjoying the moment.

Bad taste, Crying wolf, Irresponsible jounalism, I cannot even qualify this kind of take on a historic night in Denver.
You live in a country were your MP'S are selected by few votes and worse by people who never knew them and they in turn select there own PM. No citizen participations whatsoever. Being jealous and cynical has been the stock of British journalist in this US Election cycle.Just because of one candidate. Very soon you will say that those Berliner's were all stupid to troop to his speech. Grow up, this world needs cheering up, not Credit Crunch, Falling House Prices, Deaths, War on Terror, Debt Burdens. Wars with Russia. Grow up, I mean grow up. Politics to you have to be boring like your Gordon Brown. Tony Blair won elections here because he can give good speeches et all. I wonder what contributions you have made to educate and engage your youths on the issues of there time and the need for them to be engaged. No wonder they read Sun and other trashes and spend there time watching Big Brother. Stop this nonsense. If you do not have anything to write, simply go to sleep and save us your lowlife write-ups. This night was inspiring, significant, prophecy fufilled; and above all worthwhile. History will find you on the wrong side and regrets will follow.

It was a gathering of hope. And remember, celebrities are people too! Screw the Republicans!
