White Chicks and Gang Signs

White Chicks and Gang Signs is the latest, and at 90 seconds perhaps the longest, music video from musician and video maker Billy Reid. Functioning as both a slice of observational web comedy and an LFO Soundsystem punk-funk belter, it features a montage of distinctly non-ghetto subjects throwing gang signs in photographs. Popular web photo resource Flickr is awash with images of this type, wherein the iconography of Hip Hop has been stripped of its meaning and co-opted as a standard party accessory.
