Bono and Father Al
We always suspected that Bono worships Al Gore, but now we know for certain. "He is rabbinical or like an Irish priest," said the rockstar campaigner, sharing a platform with the former US vice-president and environmental Nobel laureate this morning.
"You meet him and you confess your sins. 'I am a noise-polluter, I am a gulf stream flying rock star' and Al says 'And what are you going to do about it son? Are you going to kick the habit?' 'I am trying Father Al but to be honest oil has been good to me. All those petro chemical products, like hair gel'."
In the spirit of mutual love-in, Al tried to pay his Irish admirer a compliment back. "He is one of the best politicians I have ever run into," he said. Bono: "I take that as an insult."
